Impact

Educators are now able to prepare students for the AI-centric future by tailoring education about AI to pre-existing lesson plans and content.

The Problem

Teachers do not have a way to educate students about AI in the context of their curricula, because they only receive more tools to accomplish professional-level integration.

The Solution

An LMS platform that allows teachers to customize education about AI to what they are already teaching students in their classes. We called it Duolingo for AI.

Approach

We divided AI content into 2 distinct Learning Tracks: Theoretical and Application. The Theoretical Learning Track teaches students about AI and its development as a field of study, and a piece of technology. The Application Learning Track includes lessons and activities that show students how to use AI tools in the context of their classroom subject, especially based on how professionals are using them in the respective field.

Building for Students

While we market to teachers and sell to school districts, the student is an additional end user that we had to consider. Each part of the teacher flow had to be mapped to an equivalent on the student flow to ensure the experience was consistent across the product.
